The start of our season of shared tours

The streets of Zagreb get busy and full of events in May. We like to join the buzz by offering our shared tours with the first weekend in May. This year, we're playing safe with our popular favourite Zagreb Ghosts & Dragons Tour. In addition to that, we are trying out something completely different by offering our The New Shore - Novi Zagreb area walking tour as a shared tour. Many travellers wish to explore that area, and don't know where to start from, or what to look for. A private tour is not always affordable, so we decided to offer you an opportunity to explore this part of the city with other like-minded and curious people who wish to get a taste of the real city. If you're planning to join us for the shared tours, purchase the tickets as soon as you know the dates of your visit because we already sold out some dates.

The New Shore vol. 2 - project

In the past two years, we've been putting emphasis on tours of the Novi Zagreb area. It is a part of our desire to contribute to expanding the interest of visitors to underrated, off the beaten path parts of the town, and help relieve the pressure from mass tourism in the historical city center. For these last two years, we've been receiving support from the City of Zagreb for these efforts. This year in particular, our plan is to publish an alternative guide book of the Novi Zagreb area. It will be an interesting book with contributions from the locals. That's why we run several free tours of Novi Zagreb area for the locals, in Croatian. The first such event this year took place yesterday. Enjoy the photo gallery.

Art at the south shore - a Jane's Walk event

We're still in Novi Zagreb area, this time as a part of a much larger initiative - our Iva Silla hosted a walk as a part of a global movement called Jane's Walk. It's an initiative that celebrates Jane Jacobs, a Canadian who introduced walks guided by citizen as a way for the residents to reclaim their cities. The movement has been active in Croatia for 11 years now thanks to Centar za kulturu Trešnjevka cultural center and Jane's Walk Zagreb. Our Iva participated in the first edition, when she co-hosted the Leafy Zagreb walk with Andrea Pisac of Croatia Honestly. Iva joined again this year, as we were searching for art around the grounds of Zagreb Fair in Novi Zagreb area. It was two hours full of discoveries, as you can see from these photos taken by Saša Martinović and Vanja Radovanović - two organisers and main enthusiasts of the Jane's Walk movement in Croatia.
