If you’re taking L’Autoroute de la Fraternité, make sure to stop by Secret Zagreb

What a wonderful surprise in the shape of a travel-book! French author Nicolas Hasson-Fauré visited Zagreb during his travels. He traveled from Slovenia to Macedonia, following the old Yugoslav Highway of Brotherhood and Unity. Zagreb was one of the stops, and he got interested in our Novi Zagreb tour. Long story short, we were delighted to receive a mention in the book.

The book itself is well worth recommending, because it is like a melancholic blast from the past in many ways. Not just because of the fact it followed a road that has turned into a fading memory lane – it has lost its meaning, and has almost dissappeared from this region’s mindset, even if we still use it under different names. But also because of the way the book is created – it contains just text, no photos, like the vintage travel books. It leaves the readers entirely to their imagination while they’re envisioning the locations Nicolas visited through his experience, interpretation and reflections.
